The scythe symbol represents the grim reaper, lord of death and harvester of souls. It is a symbol of cutting down the plant in its prime years for harvest. The scythe is often used as a symbol to remind others to expect and prepare for death. But why not look at the scythe opposite way as an optimistic tool or even as a piece of art.
